York , ME - The York Fire Department, including York Village and York Beach units, responded alongside York Ambulance to a reported building fire on Long Sands Road.

On arrival, smoke was observed showing from the residence, and the incident was upgraded to a working fire. Crews initiated an aggressive interior attack, locating and extinguishing a basement fire while preventing extension to the upper floors.

A coordinated response involving multiple personnel ensured the fire was brought under control efficiently. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Fire Department provided RIT on scene, while surrounding departments covered stations, supporting overall operations.
