Westerly, RI - The Dunn's Corners Fire Department, along with Charlestown Ambulance Rescue Service and mutual aid companies, responded to the Quonnie Breachway area for reports of an overturned kayak.

Upon arrival, crews initiated a coordinated search of the water and shoreline. Eyewitnesses advised that a Good Samaritan had already assisted the individual out of the water prior to emergency units arriving.

Marine operations continued as DCFD Marine 1 conducted a sweep of the area and successfully located and recovered the kayak.

The incident concluded safely, with crews ensuring no additional hazards remained in the water.
