Working Kitchen Fire Contained at Fair Lawn Residence

FAIR LAWN, NJ - On Tuesday, April 14th at approximately 1:30 p.m., a neighbor called Fair Lawn Police and reported smoke coming from a home on the 38 block of Paterson St. First arriving police units found a working kitchen fire in the single-family home. No one was home at the time. Chiefs Salvini, Palmieri and Rinaldo were on scene. A working fire was transmitted, bringing a 2nd alarm response from mutual aid companies. The fire was contained to the kitchen, which received extensive damage. There were no injuries. Fair Lawn Rescue and Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded.
