Ansonia Fire Handles Rollover Crash with Entrapment

ANSONIA, CT — April 13th — When a rollover car accident with entrapment was reported, the Ansonia Fire Department responded.
When Engine 6 and Car 25 arrived, they verified that a car with a confined person was on its side. Before beginning extrication, crews used Paratech struts to support the car and guarantee a safe work environment. After removing the occupant, firefighters turned over patient care to on-site EMS.
Assistant Chief Pitney established command and coordinated operations. There were no more issues when the matter was brought under control.
