ANSONIA, CT - When a rollover car accident with entrapment was reported on April 13th, the Ansonia Fire Department responded. When Engine 6 and Car 25 arrived, they verified that a car with a confined person was on its side. Before beginning extrication, crews used Paratech struts to support the car and guarantee a safe work environment. After removing the occupant, firefighters turned over patient care to on-site EMS. Assistant Chief Pitney established command and coordinated operations.
