Brush Fire Quickly Expands to One Acre, Crews Contain with Mutual Aid

Foster, RI - The Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company responded to a brush fire that rapidly grew from a small burn pile to approximately one acre of wooded land.

Crews encountered heavy fuels and challenging conditions, including dry weather, wind, and low humidity, which accelerated the fire’s spread.

Mutual aid from Moosup Valley and South Foster Fire Companies provided additional manpower and water, helping bring the fire under control. Foster Police and Foster EMS also assisted on scene
