Quick Response and Smoke Detectors Limit Damage in Residential Fire

Nottingham, NH - Nottingham Fire & Rescue Department responded to a residential fire on Flutter Street, where working smoke detectors alerted occupants and allowed them to safely evacuate with their pets.
Fire crews quickly knocked down the fire, successfully containing it to the garage and preventing extension into the attached home. A rapid response from the staffed Nottingham station, along with mutual aid from Lee, Durham, Deerfield, and Strafford Fire Departments, helped bring the incident under control.
Additional coverage was provided by Northwood, Barrington, and Newmarket Fire Departments while crews operated on scene
