This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

CASTORLAND, NY — April 3rd — A tree that was reported to be fallen on wires with fire conditions prompted the Castorland Fire Company, located at 5187 State Route 410, to be sent to 9187 Cutoff Road in the Town of New Bremen. Utility and rescue teams arrived. As crews arrived on the scene, the Beaver Falls chief, who was already there, canceled arriving units and informed them that the situation was under control. Before they arrived, Castorland units were turned around.

Coordination with utility companies is frequently necessary for incidents involving wires and fallen trees, which pose risks such as electrified lines and fire spread. In this instance, first-arriving units addressed the situation swiftly. Crews from Castorland went back to work without doing any on-site work. There were no reported injuries.
