Gardner Fire Responds to Vehicle Into Building at Burger King

GARDNER, MA — March 14th — When a car was reported to have crashed into a building of a Burger King restaurant, the Gardner Fire Department arrived.


When Group 3 units arrived, they discovered that one car had collided with the building. In order to ensure that neither the driver nor the people inside the restaurant were hurt, crews guarded the area and looked for injuries. The impact caused moderate damage to the building.


To evaluate risks and make sure the building was secure, firefighters stayed on the spot. The Board of Health and the building commissioner also responded to assess the occupancy's circumstances.


The Gardner Police Department is looking into what caused the event.
