Mutual Aid Supports Freeport Lane Fire Response

NORTH EAST, PA — 16th March — Due to a reported structure fire, Fuller Hose Company and Crescent Hose Company, located at 36 E Main St., North East, PA, were sent to Freeport Lane. When Ladder 209 and Chief 201 arrived, they saw smoke and started a primary search. In the attic area above the garage, crews discovered a fire. After opening the ceiling to reveal the fire, firefighters from Engine 202 and Ladder 209 started putting it out.


The fire was swiftly put out, preventing it from spreading farther within the house. To handle the remaining hot spots, crews performed an overhaul. Chief 211 was in charge, and the cause is still being looked at. On-site assistance was provided by the Perry Highway Hose Company, Kuhl Hose Company, and Harborcreek Fire Department.
