Selkirk Crews Support Extended Operations at Wind-Driven Brush Fire

Selkirk, NY - The Selkirk Fire Department responded on a mutual aid assignment to assist Delmar and Slingerlands fire departments at a wind-driven brush fire.

Crews deployed a brush truck, UTV, and additional personnel, working in challenging conditions as the fire spread rapidly due to shifting winds. Firefighters operated on scene for over two hours, assisting with containment and suppression efforts before the incident was brought under control.

All units later returned to service after completing their assignments.
