Dog Saved, Firefighter Injured in Morning House Fire on E. Walnut Avenue

Pleasantville, NJ - The Pleasantville Fire Department responded to a working structure fire on E. Walnut Avenue , arriving to find active fire in a two-story home.


Crews quickly brought the fire under control and conducted a search, rescuing a small dog from inside. The residence was unoccupied at the time.


One firefighter sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital by Tricare EMS.


Mutual aid was provided by surrounding departments, while Pleasantville Police handled traffic and crowd control. The cause remains under investigation.
