WESTON, MA - On April 7th, Weston Fire began receiving calls for a house fire at 503 North Avenue. Engines 1, 2, 3 and 4, Ladder 1 and A1 responded. Upon arrival heavy fire was showing. Within several minutes, a second-alarm was transmitted, bringing Waltham Engine 4, Ladder 2, a Deputy and Chief.
High winds fanned the fire which extended to the roof. At one point the roof of the front of the house collapsed. Multiple brush fires (a red flag warning was in affect) on the property also needed immediate attention. Four alarms were transmitted, bringing in 11 communities.
Firefighters battled the blaze for several hours. There were no injuries and the State Fire was requested.
