Swift Response Contains Kitchen Fire on Kipp Avenue

Hasbrouck Heights, NJ - Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department was dispatched to Kipp Avenue for a reported kitchen fire. Chief 61 arrived to find smoke showing and requested a 10-30 assignment, bringing Wood-Ridge Ladder to the scene. Chief 62, Engine 2, Ladder 1, and Squad 2 responded and stretched a line to quickly access the fire area.

Crews were able to contain the fire to the kitchen, preventing any extension throughout the home. One firefighter sustained minor injuries and was transported to HUMC for evaluation.

Thanks to the rapid and coordinated efforts of all units, the incident was brought under control safely and efficiently.
