BERKS COUNTY, PA - When crews from Central Berks Fire Company arrived on March 30th as mutual aid to a building fire, they discovered that the house was extensively damaged. While other equipment attempted to provide a more stable water supply for operations, Engine 38 and Tanker 38, positioned behind Engine 37, helped with the initial fire fight. Firefighters focused on supporting suppression efforts as crews worked to control the fire. The lone person inside the house at the time was able to safely escape, according to officials, despite the significant damage to the building. Departments continued operations at the scene until the fire was brought under control.
