WAYMART, PA - On March 13th, firefighters from the Waymart Volunteer Fire Company arrived to support the Northern Wayne Fire Company at a second alarm structure fire in Preston Township.

Through the Wayne County mutual aid program, Waymart was requested for more personnel and an engine company. Eight firefighters from the department responded, helping companies that were already on scene with support and suppression duties.

In order to provide coverage for local emergency calls, additional personnel stayed at the Waymart station while crews were dedicated to the situation.
