Plainfield Fire Supports Springfield with Water Supply Operations at Structure Fire

Windsor, VT - Plainfield Fire Department responded mutual aid to Springfield for a structure fire on Putnum Road, sending Tanker 1 to the scene and Engine 2 for coverage. While en route, Engine 2 was reassigned to establish a water supply draft site at Hoyts Boat Landing to support tanker operations.
Tanker 1 hauled six loads of water, each carrying 3,000 gallons, while Engine 2 filled multiple tankers throughout the incident, ensuring a steady and reliable water supply for fire suppression efforts.
Ludlow Fire provided station coverage in Plainfield during the response. All Plainfield units and personnel returned to service after the operation concluded.
