WALTHAM, MA - Just before 5:00 P.M. on April 8th, Waltham received several calls for a fire at 7 Pearl Street. Waltham Engines 1, 2 and 4, Squad 5, Rescue 1, Ladder 2 and Medic 1 were dispatched. Engine 4 pulled up and reported heavy fire in the rear of the house. They stretched a line to the back and did a great job getting water on the fire. A second-alarm was transmitted, bringing Engines 3 and 7, and Tower 1. The fire did extensive damage to the house, and was contained within about one hour. Crews were on the scene for several hours. There were no injuries.
