Story No. 040921105

NORWALK, CT - Rowayton Fire Department responded to a house fire at 17 East Beach Rd. on April 4th.

The fire started on the outside of the three-story home at 11:14 A.M. Power lines to the home ignited and were arcing, which delayed extinguishment. Once the power was off, Rowayton FD quickly extinguished the fire.

Darien and Norwalk Fire were also on scene for assistance. The fire is still under investigation, but probably started when discarded ashes from the fireplace ignited.
