YOUNGWOOD, PA - One individual was reportedly trapped in a two-vehicle collision at Depot Street and Racetrack Road in the borough when the Youngwood Volunteer Fire Department responded on March 7th. When Rescue 26 arrived, workers stabilized one of the cars before starting the extrication process. To release the confined individual, firefighters gained access to the patient by removing a door. The collision between the two cars affected five individuals in total. Three people were sent to a neighboring hospital for assessment and treatment after mutual aid ambulance services helped on the spot. To help EMS and secure the cars, firefighters stayed on the scene.
