Pittsburgh, PA - Companies were dispatched to the 0 block of Summit Street for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a structure. Rescue 260 (RQ) arrived to find a pickup truck that had collided with the front porch of a residence, causing significant structural damage to the porch area.

Crews from 260-191 worked to stabilize the structure, utilizing a Paratech strut to shore up the compromised porch and prevent further collapse. Once the scene was secured, responders confirmed that no injuries had occurred to either the vehicle’s occupants or residents of the home.

The incident was successfully mitigated, and units ensured the structure was left in a safe condition before clearing the scene.
