Atlantic, NJ - Stations 12-3 and 12-6 were dispatched to the Collings Lakes section of Buena Vista Township, in the area of Malaga Road and Reading Avenue, for an ATV accident. A rider had rolled an ATV in a pit off Malaga Road, sustaining lower-body injuries and a possible head injury.

Brush 12-35 responded into the wooded area along with units from the New Jersey Forest Fire Service, New Jersey State Police, and Monroe Township Police Department to assist with accessing and removing the injured rider. Upon evaluation by Buena Vista Township EMTs, it was determined that the patient required transport to a trauma center, and Southstar medevac was requested.

An LZ was established at Collings Lakes Elementary School by 12-300 and Squad 12-31. All agencies worked together effectively during the incident. Station 12-3 units cleared with no personnel injuries reported.
