Fall River, Ma. On Wednesday April 1st. firefighters responded to 54 Vale Street in the south end of the city. Car 3 arrived on scene and established command and reported smoke showing from the third floor of a three story occupied wood frame. Engine 5 dropped a supply line at the hydrant and radioed Engine 4 to charge the line. The crew of Engine 5 made an aggressive attack and reported heavy fire on the third floor. Meanwhile Command called for an additional pump to respond while members of Ladder Two vented the third floor. Several pets were rescued and crews made a quick knockdown.
