Lawrence, MA - On March 17, 2026, at approximately 1808 hours, firefighters in Lawrence responded to a reported structure fire at 34 Melrose Street. Upon arrival, crews encountered a two-story Type V residential building with visible smoke showing.
Under the command of Incident Commander Deputy McInnis, a working fire was declared as flames were located on the second floor. Fire companies initiated an aggressive interior attack and were able to make steady progress in containing the blaze.
