MILTON, NH — March 28th — A reported four-alarm fire at a historic property in East Wakefield prompted equipment from the Department Milton Fire-Rescue to react on mutual aid. Engine 6 and Milton Truck 5 were sent to help Wakefield firefighters and a number of regional agencies that were on the site. Large amounts of water were to be applied to the fire building by Truck 5 using its aerial apparatus as an elevated master stream.
As part of the coordinated reaction, Engine 6 assisted with suppression operations. Departments from all around the area, including towns from Tamworth to Rochester, helped with water shuttle and fire attack operations.
In order to guarantee that local emergency response was accessible during the crisis, the Gilmanton Fire Department offered station coverage in Milton.
