NORTH HAMPTON, NH — March 15th — North Hampton Fire & Rescue firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at 3 Fern Road. When crews arrived, they discovered a garage that was heavily involved in the fire and extended into the adjoining house. In order to bring more mutual aid to the area, firefighters promptly launched an aggressive attack and asked for a first alarm. The fire was contained.
Before firefighters could reach, residents successfully left, and no injuries were recorded. Two cats were found and taken out of the house during a search. Due to injuries received during the fire, one cat subsequently passed away. While North Hampton Police handled traffic, a number of nearby agencies supplied station coverage and on-site assistance. The cause of the fire is still being looked into.
