At 9:36am Winchendon Firefighters were toned out to a reported house fire at 10 Mill Glen Road. Winchendon Engine 1 on arrival reported a 1 1/2 story wood frame house with heavy smoke showing from the roof and all occupants out of the building. With no hydrants nearby, firefighters made aggressive interior attack using tank water and knocked down the bulk of the heavy fire. Mutual aid companies from Gardner, Ashburnham, Rindge NH, Jaffrey NH, Royalston, Templeton and Phillipston worked on the scene knocking down the remaining fire and hot spots.
