WALTHAM, MA - Aril 2, 2026 - Six weeks ago Ronnie Poirier was coaching the Kennedy Middle School Boys basketball team when he went into cardiac arrest and collapsed on the gym floor. Waltham Engine 7, Medic 1 and Waltham Police responded. In the mean time Ian Haffer, a parent, performed CPR. On April 2nd, Ronnie and his wife Susan ( blonde) met with the 1St Responders at Walthams’s Central Fire Station to thank them for saving his life.
