This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

BUTLER, NJ - Just after midnight on April 2nd, the Butler Police started to receive multiple 911 calls reporting a working fire at 160 Main Street. Upon the arrival of Butler's Chief, he confirmed he had fire in three mixed occupancy dwellings, with extension to a 4th and 5th building. At that point, Command requested the 2nd and 3rd alarm due to fire load and spread of fire. Command also requested the Morris County air truck, Morris County MAB bus, and the Antique Fire Association of New Jersey's canteen unit. Crews operated for over five hours before Command started to release mutual aid. This was the second call within 24 hours for the canteen unit.
