Large Smoke Column Prompts Second Alarm for Roxbury House Fire

ROXBURY, NJ - On April 1st, just after 12:00 P.M., Morris County 911 started receiving 911 calls for a working house fire on Jill Terrace in the Succasunna section of Roxbury Twp.


While Police and Fire were en-route, PD advised that a large column of smoke was visible from Pleasant Hill Rd. At that time, Roxbury Fire asked the county 911 center to upgrade to the 2nd alarm working structure fire.


Additional mutual aid was requested to the scene on the 2nd alarm, including the Morris County MAB bus for EMS aspect of the fire, and the Antique Fire Association of New Jersey canteen unit was also requested to provide water, gatorade and snacks to the fire and EMS personnel working the fire.
