Plaistow, NH — March 14th — The Plaistow Fire Department's Truck 3 was sent on mutual assistance to Hampstead in response to a second-alarm apartment fire that may have trapped its residents. The response was a component of the regional mutual aid program that Rockingham County uses to supply extra personnel and equipment in the event of more serious crises.
Ladder deployment, ventilation, search operations, and assistance for engine companies operating within the building are frequently assigned to truck companies responding to apartment fires. To help with search and fire suppression, more departments from nearby villages were also sent. This kind of mutual aid response helps guarantee that sufficient resources are accessible during complicated events. Support personnel were already working at the Hampstead apartment complex fire when Plaistow's Truck 3 arrived.
