Windham, NH — March 16th — After the Derry Fire Department Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call, Windham firefighters went on auto assistance to a reported vehicle fire on Interstate 93 northbound near mile marker 4.6. When Windham C-1 arrived, it established command and reported a fully involved passenger car in the breakdown lane. When Salem Engine-1 got there first, it started attacking with flames. Soon after, Windham Engine-2 and Truck-2 showed up and helped with suppression while providing more water.

After the fire was put out, workers performed overhaul procedures until the car was hauled by a wrecker. The route was reduced to two lanes due to traffic management by New Hampshire State Police. There were no reported injuries.
