On March 22, 2026, at 01:56 hours, the Wellsville Fire Department, Wellsville Ambulance Corps, Andover Fire Department, District 4 FAST Team, and New York State Police were dispatched to a reported structure fire at the Budget Inn Motel on State Route 417 in the Town of Wellsville.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the building fully evacuated, with the fire already extinguished by motel staff. Early alarm activation and the swift actions of staff helped prevent the fire from spreading, resulting in minimal damage and no reported injuries.

Mutual aid units were subsequently canceled. The Wellsville Fire Department responded with all four companies, along with an ambulance from the Wellsville Ambulance Corps. Crews remained on scene until operations were completed and units were released by command.
