FITCHBURG, MA - Fitchburg firefighters battled a three-alarm fire during the cold morning hours of March 29th.
Companies made an aggressive interior attack, but were drawn out by hoarding conditions and advancing fire in the walls and void spaces. Several big lines and one ladder pipe were put into operation to knock down the main body of fire.
Companies reentered the building later on for overhaul and to check for extension.
