Orange Lake Responds to House Fire on South Plank Road

Newburgh, NY - Orange Lake FD was dispatched to a reported basement fire at 373 South Plank Road just before 10:00 A.M. on March 29th. Orange Lake Command requested Winona Lake and Newburgh's FAST to scene. Firefighters used hand lines and ground ladders. Entry was gained inside through the front door. Crews checked for hot spots after the fire was knocked down. Verizon was called for a power cut. Town of Newburgh Police directed traffic and EMS was evaluating one person from the house for smoke inhalation.
