Truck Fire Near Structure Quickly Contained on Route 12

Pomfret, VT - On March 4, 2026, at 21:15 hours, Pomfret-Teago Fire was dispatched alongside Woodstock Fire to respond to a reported vehicle fire off Route 12.
Upon arrival, first responding units confirmed a truck fully engulfed in flames near a nearby structure. Woodstock Fire, arriving as the first-due engine, immediately deployed two attack lines to begin suppression efforts. Pomfret-Teago Fire arrived shortly thereafter and assisted with an aggressive fire attack, successfully bringing the blaze under control.
Fire crews then carried out overhaul operations to eliminate any remaining hot spots and ensure the scene was fully secured. Units remained on scene for approximately two hours before clearing.
Pomfret-Teago Fire extends its appreciation to Woodstock Fire for their prompt response and valuable assistance at the scene.
