Rome Firefighters Respond to Structure Fire Near Mc Rae Street

ROME, NY — March 15th — A working structure fire near Mc Rae Street and West Embargo Street was responded to by the Rome Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 694, 158 Black River Blvd N, Rome, NY, USA, 13440. After arriving, firefighters established command and secured the area before starting suppression efforts. In order to facilitate the deployment of hose lines and firefighting operations, equipment was placed along surrounding roadways.
While crews worked, police helped manage traffic and divert cars away from the area. In order to give emergency units space to function properly, drivers and locals were encouraged to stay away from the area.
