Allegheny, PA - Units 185, 228, Butler 21, and Butler 42 responded to a reported vehicle fire at Mile Marker 77 on I-79 Northbound. Upon arrival, Chief 185 confirmed that the vehicle was located well off the roadway. Engine 228 deployed a hose line and successfully extinguished the fire. In light of the warmer temperatures and windy conditions, authorities are advising the public to refrain from outdoor burning to prevent similar incidents.
