On March 1, firefighters from the LeRoy Fire Department responded as mutual aid to a reported house fire in Pavilion.
Engine 63 and Ladder 65 were called to support crews already on the site. Upon arrival, LeRoy firefighters assisted with fire suppression and overhaul operations while teams sought to manage the situation.
Despite substantial damage to the home, all inhabitants were able to safely flee before firefighters arrived. Officials reported that no firefighters were injured during the response.
Department members commented that the reaction demonstrated the continuous cooperation of neighboring fire departments during mutual help occurrences.
