At 6:08 p.m. on March 12, the Berkshire Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on County Highway 142 with unknown injuries. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a single-vehicle crash off the road. Crews guarded the location and helped with traffic control as emergency personnel assessed the situation.

Lake Valley EMS was also on the site to provide medical assistance. Firefighters stayed on the site until the vehicle was towed away, at which point they cleared the scene and resumed to work. According to department officials, the reaction marked the department's 29th call for help this year.
