Wellsville, NY - On March 22, 2026, at approximately 01:56 a.m., the Wellsville Fire Department, Wellsville Ambulance Corps, Andover Fire Department, District 4 FAST Team, and New York State Police were dispatched to a reported structure fire at the Budget Inn Motel on State Route 417 in the Town of Wellsville.

Upon arrival, fire crews found that the building had already been fully evacuated, and the fire had been extinguished by motel staff. Thanks to the prompt activation of alarms and the swift actions taken on-site, damage was minimal, and no injuries were reported among residents.

All mutual aid units were subsequently canceled. The Wellsville Fire Department operated with all four companies, along with an ambulance from the Wellsville Ambulance Corps, remaining on scene until released by command.
