SOUTH FARMINGDALE, NY — March 22nd — A reported structure fire on Barbara Circle prompted the South Farmingdale Fire Department, located at 819 S. Main St., South Farmingdale, NY, United States, 11735. Firefighters found severe fire conditions in the back of the house when they arrived minutes after the initial call. To limit the fire and stop it from spreading throughout the building, crews extended hose lines and started suppression operations.

As is customary throughout Nassau County during working fires, mutual aid assistance from neighboring fire departments brought more personnel and equipment to the scene. In around half an hour, the fire was contained. The reason was investigated by the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office.
