Pinellas Park Welcomes New Firefighters

PINELLAS PARK, FL - Join us in welcoming probationary firefighters Brandon Grigsby, Jonathan Campbell, Kent Houghtaling and Joshua Salas to the Pinellas Park Fire Department.
Brandon Grigsby is a firefighter/EMT currently assigned to PPFD Station 16 on C-Shift. He is a graduate of Pinellas Park High School and earned an Associate in Science degree in Emergency Administration and Management from St. Petersburg College. Brandon worked for the City of Pinellas Park Public Works Department for five years prior to joining the fire department last year. Jonathan Campbell is a firefighter/paramedic currently assigned to C Shift at Station 33. Born in Fort Piece, Jon attended Indian River Charter High School and Polk State College where he earned his firefighter and paramedic certifications. Prior to joining Pinellas Park, he was a firefighter/paramedic for Levy County Department of Public Safety and was the recipient of the Levy County Hometown Heroes award.
Kent Houghtaling is a firefighter/EMT currently assigned to B Shift at PPFD Station 34. Born in Gainesville, Kent attended Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. Prior to joining Pinellas Park Fire, he worked as an EMT for Sunstar.
Joshua Salas is a firefighter/EMT currently assigned to A Shift at PPFD Station 35. Born in Tampa, Joshua attended Chamberlain High School and the Firefighting Academy at St. Petersburg College where he received the Chief Frank Spirek Memorial Award – a scholarship given to fire academy students who show high academic performance and achievement.
