Major Storm Brings Down Trees Across Grafton County, Causes Damage to Littleton Home and Vehicle

Littleton, NH - On 17 Mar 2026 at approximately 4:00 a.m., Grafton County Dispatch began receiving multiple reports of trees falling onto power lines and roadways as a cold front swept through the area. A Shift crews responded to incidents on Pine Hill, Manns Hill, Brook Road, and Interstate 93, addressing trees blocking roads or entangled in wires.


A General Alarm was issued for Crowe View Drive after a large tree fell onto a residence and a vehicle, prompting off-duty full-time and call members to assist. Chief Miller noted that the resident “was fortunate to escape injury when a large tree crashed through a bedroom closet. The tree tore through the corner of the structure and landed on a vehicle. A slight change in direction could have resulted in a fatality.”


Lt. Antunovic and A Shift were busy handling multiple concurrent incidents throughout their 24-hour tour, responding to a total of 13 calls for service.
