Norfolk, MA - Following a structure fire 27 February 2026, the Norfolk Fire Department responded to two significant incidents later in the shift.

First, a serious head-on motor vehicle collision occurred on Pine Street. One occupant required extraction using hydraulic spreaders, resulting in an Advanced Life Support transport to Boston Medical Trauma Center. Norfolk Ambulance 1 was on scene to assist with patient care.

Later, firefighters were dispatched to the local library for an alarm activation. Upon arrival, they discovered a water leak caused by a malfunction in the building’s sprinkler system.
