Three Calls Keep Fire and Rescue Crews Busy Friday Night

Chambersburg, PA - On 6th March 2026, the Friday Night Duty Crew responded to three separate incidents over the course of the evening.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., units were dispatched to the 600 block of Boyer Mill Road for an auto accident with reported entrapment. AC-48 arrived to find a single vehicle off the roadway with one driver slumped over the wheel. The individual was not trapped, and one patient was transported to an area trauma center for evaluation.
At 11:45 p.m., Ladder 42 responded to an automatic fire alarm in Chambersburg. The incident was quickly handled, and the unit was placed back in service by Company 1.
Shortly after midnight, at 12:05 a.m., Station 4 along with mutual aid companies responded to Interstate 81 northbound at mile marker 17 for another auto accident. Crews reported minor injuries at the scene, with one patient requiring transport to a local hospital.
