Mumford, NY — February 24th — At a shop fire on Keeney Road, firefighters from the Mumford Fire District, headquartered at 1013 Main St., arrived on mutual aid to help the Le Roy Fire Department. At 8680 Keeney Road, a fire was reported. When crews arrived, they saw smoke pouring from the building's eaves. Interior firemen swiftly put out a fire that was raging inside a wall.
Tractors and farm equipment are kept in the shop. Crews stayed on the site to see if there was an extension. National Grid and Le Roy Ambulance Service responded to a second alarm. There were no reported injuries.
