Caughdenoy Units Support Central Square at Working Fire

On March 8th, the Caughdenoy Volunteer Fire Department responded for mutual aid to a second alarm commercial structure fire in the Central Square Fire Company No. 1 district shortly before 3 p.m. Rescue Pumper 622, staffed by Engineer Millett, 1st Assistant Chief Eiffe, Lt. Millett, and Firefighter A. Millett, was joined by Duty Chief 604 (Captain Landers). Crews arrived to help numerous departments already on the site, providing additional manpower. During the overhaul operations, firefighters sought to find and extinguish any remaining hot spots. Units stayed on scene for about two hours before returning to service.
