Massive 4-Alarm Fire in Queens Kills 3, Including Child

QUEENS, NY - On March 16th, FDNY Box 4-4-9411 battled an early afternoon 4-alarm blaze with numerous injuries.
The box was transmitted at 12:36 P.M., with numerous calls for reports of occupants trapped. First arriving units found a heavy fire condition on all three floors with occupants trapped. Additional alarms were subsequently transmitted.
Officials reported three fatalities and several critically injured. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
