This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

SYRACUSE, NY — March 11th — A reported electrical fire in a home prompted Taunton Fire Department firefighters to rush to the 4200 block of Fay Road. Along with Car 1 (Chief Phelan), Car 2 (Deputy Chief Harris), and Car 3 (Assistant Chief Martin), Taunton Engine 4 responded on dispatch with FF Bova. When personnel arrived, they discovered an electrical panel in the basement that was actively arcing. While they waited for the power company, firefighters secured the local area and kept an eye on the situation.

Soon after, National Grid employees showed up and turned on the house's electricity. When electrical panels fail, heat, sparks, and energized parts can pose major risks. After the area was inspected and power was restored, the situation calmed without any more problems, and the staff went back to work.
