Three Transported After Multiple Vehicle Crash on West Highway 40

(OCALA, FL.) March 15, 2023 – On Wednesday, March 15, at approximately 6:12 a.m., Ocala Fire Rescue's Engine 4, Rescue 1, Squad 7, Battalion Chief 11, and a Safety Officer were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the 5500 block of West Highway 40.
Units arrived on scene to find three pick-up trucks blocking several lanes of traffic - a red GNC Sierra that rolled over and was upright, a silver Ford F-150 with heavy front end damage, and a modified Ford Ranger with a black cab that sustained heavy front and rear damage.
Units secured the scene.
Rescue 1 assessed all patients, and Battalion Chief 11 established command. Squad 7 was released.
All (3) drivers were transported to the hospital.
The Ocala Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
